Abstract

The research aims to shed light on the United States of America and the gradual cancellation of the Kagnew station 1974-1976, as the United States began to think seriously about not relying on this station, which it used since 1942, due to the development of means of communication and the transformation of Ethiopia into a military regime, and the multiplicity of attacks by the Eritrean rebels Those wishing to stop the US-Ethiopian military cooperation created an impression on the US administration of the importance of re-evaluating US policy in Ethiopia, including the importance of using the Kagnew station.
