الملخص
حظي دور الفرد باهمية متزايدة في تطور الاحداث التاريخية ، فالفرد باشكاله المتعددة : رجل دولة او رجل دين او اقتصادي او مفكر كان محوراً للتطور التاريخي عبر مسيرة البشرية منذ بداية التاريخ المدون وحتى الوقت الحاضر .
من المعروف تاريخياً أنّ الشخصيات التي حازت مكانها اللائق في تطور المجتمعات البشرية قد حظيت باهتمام المؤسسات الاكاديمية التاريخية في العراق وذلك بدراسة دورها واثرها في تطور التاريخ سواء العراقي أو العربي المعاصر وذلك بعدد من الرسائل والأطروحات الجامعية وضمن هذا الاتجاه ، جاء الاهتمام بدراسة شخصية عراقية مغمورة كان لها اثرها الواضح ، وبنسب متفاوته ، في الاحداث السياسية والاجتماعية والفكرية في العراق ولاسيما في العهد الملكي ، وأثْرَى بمؤلفاته المكتبة التاريخية العراقية ، تلك هي شخصية عبد الاحد سليمان غزاله (1853-1929) ،لذا ارتأيت ان يكون البحث عنه وابراز دوره الثقافي والسياسي في العراق .
ان دراسة سيرته ونشاطاته تشير الى انه كان شخصية فاعلة بما قدمه من خدمات لبلده ، وبما انجزه من مؤلفات قدمت معلومات مهمة وقيمة ، الى جانب آرائه السياسية والاجتماعية. ارتأيت تقسيم البحث على عدة محاور الاول يتحدث عن سيرة حياته ،والمحور الثاني الجانب الثقافي واهم مؤلفاته ،اما المحور الثالث عن دوره السياسي في العراق من خلال اسهاماته في محاضر مجلس النواب ,ثم الخاتمه والمصادر .
