الملخص
إن أي توسع في الرقعة الجغرافية لأي بلد ، يقتضيه توسع وتداخل في المفاهيم والثقافات والحضارات . فبعد أن أتسعت رقعة وخارطة الدولة العربية الاسلامية بعد الفتوحات الاسلامية لنشر الدين ، أنضوت تحت لوائه أقوام وأمم وثقافات ونزعات حضرية أخرى، تختلف عن ثقافة وحضارة الدولة العباسية ،وهذا الاحتكاك والتنوع أدى الى تنوع في طبقات المجتمع العباسي وأطيافه . ومن هذه التغيرات التي طرأت على المجتمع العربي الأسلامي ،دخول الأعاجم لهذا المجتمع، المتمثل بالعنصر الرومي الذي كان آخرٌ للعربي . وقد تبوء هذا الآخر مكانة عالية في السلطة السياسية للدولة ، وحاز التقدير من خلال سياسته الإدارية ولعب دوراً مهما ، والبعض حاز الذم والاقصاء.وقد تناول البحث صورة هذا الآخر من الناحيتين الإيجابية والسلبية، وقد تضمن مقدمة يسيرة وفصلين الأول: الآخر الرومي الإيجابي، وتضمن مبحثين الأول :الآخر الرومي لغةً واصطلاحا والمبحث الثاني :الآخر الرومي السلطوي الممدوح والفصل الثاني: الآخر الرومي السلبي: المبحث الأول :الآخر الرومي السلطوي المهجو والمبحث الثاني : الآخر الرومي الأجتماعي والثقافي ومانتج عن سياستهم هذه من نتائج سنتحدث عنها في هذين الفصلين .
