University Climate among University Students

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the university climate among university students and to examine the significant differences in the perceptions of the university climate according to the variables of gender and specialization. A sample of 300 students participated in the study. The researcher developed a University Climate Scale, which consisted of 38 items. The face validity of the scale was verified by a panel of experts, and the discriminant validity and correlation coefficients of the items were calculated. The final version of the scale consisted of 38 items, with a reliability coefficient of 0.80 using the test-retest method and 0.76 using Cronbach's alpha. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzed the results statistically using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The findings of the study revealed that university students perceived a high level of university climate, with a mean score above the hypothetical mean. Furthermore, the results showed no significant differences in the perceptions of the university climate according to gender or specialization.
