الملخص
تعدّ الخرائط أحد أهم الأدوات الجغرافية التي ساهمت في توثيق وتحليل الظواهر الطبيعية والبشرية عبر العصور. يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة تطور الخرائط منذ العصور القديمة وحتى العصر الحديث، مع التركيز على دور الفكر الجغرافي في تحسين دقتها ووظائفها. يناقش البحث المراحل التاريخية المختلفة لصناعة الخرائط، بدءًا من الخرائط البابلية والمصرية القديمة، مرورًا بإنجازات الجغرافيين المسلمين في العصور الوسطى، ووصولًا إلى الثورة الكارتوغرافية في عصر النهضة والتقدم التقني في العصر الحديث. كما يستعرض البحث الاستخدامات المتعددة للخرائط في مجالات الاستكشاف، التخطيط الحضري، والأنظمة الجغرافية الحديثة, توصل البحث إلى أن التطور التكنولوجي، مثل نظم المعلومات الجغرافية (GIS) والاستشعار عن بعد، ساهم في تحسين دقة الخرائط وتوسيع استخدامها في مختلف المجالات.
