الملخص
يهدف البحث الى دراسة تقدير حجم الجريان السطحي ومخاطرة السيلية في حوض وادي ريزان والاثار الهيدرولوجية للوديان الدائمة الجريان القائمة على أساس التساقط المطري والجريان المائي السطحي اللذين يمثلان المحور الرئيس للمياه السطحية, فالجريان السطحي يُعد المرحلة الأخيرة لمياه الامطار والذي بموجبه ينكشف الدور الهيدرولوجي لسطح الارض باعتباره ثروة مائية ثمينة, ويمكن تحديد أفضل الطرائق لاستثماره من ناحية وكذلك الحد من فيضاناته والتصدي لمخاطره الناجمة عنه من ناحية أخرى. كما ان الدراسات الهيدرولوجية للوديان المائية تهدف للحصول على معلومات خاصة عن الجريان السطحي بما في ذلك حجم وعمق الجريان, فضلاً عن ذروة التصريف الناجمة عن تساقط الأمطار, ومن خلال القياسات المباشرة في المحطات الهيدرومترية, إذا كانت الاحواض المائية مرصودة, أما اذا كانت غير مرصودة كما هو الحال في حوض منطقة الدراسة فيتم الاعتماد على الطرق والمعادلات الإحصائية
