The effectiveness of an educational program to develop positive personality strengths among middle school students

Abstract
The current research aims to identify the development of character strengths among middle school students, develop an educational program to develop positive character strengths among middle school students, and identify the effectiveness of an educational program to reduce moral detachment among middle school students. The current research sample consisted of (40) male and female students who were chosen intentionally. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher prepared a scale of positive personality strengths using the following statistical methods: (Chi-square - T-test for one sample - T-test for two independent samples - Pearson correlation coefficient - Cronbach's alpha - T-test for two related samples). The results showed that the positive personality strengths among middle school students in Erbil schools vary in intensity among students. The study showed the importance of the educational program in helping students achieve psychological and social harmony, understanding themselves, understanding others, and interacting with them. The activities and events included in the educational program are effective in developing positive personality strengths and helping middle school students overcome unwanted behavior towards others and interact with them.
