The Effectiveness of an Educational Program to Reduce Moral Detachment among High School Students

Abstract
The current research aims to identify moral detachment among secondary school students and to develop an educational program to mitigate this, and identify the effectiveness of an educational program to reduce moral detachment among secondary school students.
The current research sample consisted of 40 male and female students selected intentionally. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher developed a moral detachment scale using the following statistical methods: chi-square, t-test for one sample, t-test for two independent samples, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha, t-test for two correlated samples.
The results showed that moral detachment among secondary school students in Sharqat varies in severity among students. The research highlights the importance of the educational program in helping students achieve psychological and social harmony, understand themselves and others, and interact with them. It also highlights the effectiveness of the activities and events included in the educational program in reducing moral detachment and helping secondary school students overcome undesirable behavior toward and interact with others.
