Geographical distribution of communications towers and their environmental and health impacts in the city of Tikrit
Main Article Content
Abstract
Communications towers are a modern means of transmitting radio signals and emit electromagnetic waves. Although these towers contribute to the development of communications, they may affect human health. The study focused on the spatial analysis of the towers of Asiacell and Zain Iraq operating in the city of Tikrit and the resulting environmental and health impacts. Of the towers, the study followed a field survey method to obtain the necessary data and used a GPS device, then projecting the coordinates of the towers onto the design map of the city of Tikrit and knowing the extent of dispersion and concentration of the towers.
