Observing the Variation of Land Cover in Al-Tuz District through Remote Sensing for the Period 1990-2016

Abstract
This research aims to study the variables in the patterns of land cover in the district of Al-Tuz. Based on the field survey, aerial images, and satellite visuals in 2016, the land cover patterns are compared with those that prevailed in 1990. The study relies on the method of classifying the data of the study area, (Likelihood Maximum Probability) the unknown maximum probability, and calculates the probability (Pixels) by means of using probability intensity coefficients to classify cells belonging to each category of land cover types. The data are treated and classified by means of using GIS.V.10.3 and ERDAS IMAGINE 8.4 program which classify, analyze and examine the accuracy Land cover patterns test in the study area.
