Abstract

It is well known that each individual has his own identity, ideas, memories, temperament, and cultural, social, and economic level, and the university student carries with him all these characteristics, to the society in which he chooses to learn, and here the problem arises in how to preserve these characteristics, and at the same time, trying to adapt and integrate , and start building his social and cultural level, establishing social relations, and getting used to a lifestyle that may be somewhat different from what it was in his original society, and moving from one society to another sometimes has a painful feeling, and may lead the individual to several conflicts and illnesses such as poor integration or neurosis Or violence (whether directed externally or internally), and a sense of adaptation and integration may help creativity at work and avoid conflicts, whether on a personal or individual level.

The current research aims to identify:

• The level of university integration among Tikrit University students.


• The level of university integration among Tikrit University students according to the variables of gender and specialization.

    The research community consisted of students from the University of Tikrit of both sexes, male and female, with human and scientific specializations. The research sample consisted of (600) male and female university students from the scientific and human specializations. They were chosen in a random stratified manner. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared a university integration scale that consisted of (48). ) a paragraph in its final form, and the researcher verified the psychometric properties of the scale, Since the validity was extracted by two methods, virtual validity, internal consistency, and stability by re-testing method, and the power of distinguishing paragraphs by peripheral comparisons method, and after processing the data statistically using the t-test for one sample and for two independent samples, and the Pearson correlation coefficient and the t-test for correlation coefficients, the research reached the results following:

• A relatively high level of university integration among the research sample.


• Males are higher than females in university integration.


• There is no statistically significant difference between the scientific departments and the humanities departments in the degree of integration undergraduate.

     In the light of the findings of the researcher, he presented a number of conclusions, including that the students of Tikrit University have a high degree of university integration.
