Abstract

This study aims to measure the impact of an educational program based on value-based scenarios and purposeful stories on developing religious values and improving academic achievement among early-grade students. Using a quasi-experimental design, 60 students were equally divided into experimental and control groups, utilizing validated measures for religious values and academic achievement. The experimental group underwent a 12-week program integrating storytelling and moral scenarios, while the control group received traditional instruction. Statistical analyses revealed significant differences favoring the experimental group in the post-test, alongside a strong positive correlation between value development and academic improvement. The results confirm the effectiveness of integrating moral education with cognitive learning in enhancing character and academic performance, aligning with social learning theories. The study recommends adopting such integrative programs, training teachers in narrative pedagogy, and strengthening school-family partnerships, alongside future research on long-term impacts and digital applications, providing strong empirical evidence of the synergy between moral development and academic success in early childhood.
