Abstract

Stylistics means studying the text and describing the method of formulation and expression. Therefore, the importance of stylistic analysis appears in that it reveals the aesthetic connotations in the text by penetrating its content and analyzing its elements.

The Barduniya poem, in its thorny drive towards its own modernity, was able to surpass many things, giving a powerful lesson to those who aspire towards what is called the Western prose poem. Their argument for that being that “today’s literature must be a new creation or a break with the traditional, and a transcendence of it, requiring new conditions in the recipient.” This poem has proven that the modernity of the poetic text is not necessarily based on the ruins of the first model of the Arabic poem in its inherited form across ages, but rather the Barduniya poem was able to keep pace with the modernity of the poetic text in its traditional form, by exploding itself from within through the boldness of style.
