Abstract

The current research aims to know the effectiveness of a program based on the strategy of educational games to develop the engineering thinking skills of the fifth grade primary students. The researcher used the experimental design with two equal groups, one experimental and the other a control one. In order to achieve the goal of the research, the researcher adopted a test (Khalaf Allah, 2013) for the engineering thinking skills. The researcher verified its validity, distinction and stability, and after processing the data statistically using the t-test for two independent samples. The results showed that there is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the experimental and control groups in testing engineering thinking skills in favor of the experimental group. In building curricula, and among the research proposals is the use of other strategies to develop engineering thinking skills in other academic stages.
