Abstract

One of the key studies to understand the key aspects of Fustat is the study of the religious and educational aspects of the city through the writing of Ibn Duqmaq's Victory. Fustat was the first capital of Egypt to be ruled by Islam, making it one of the most significant centers of religion and learning in the Egyptian nation.

Senior scholars from different parts of the Islamic state traveled there, and the Muslim Caliphs demonstrated a clear interest in that city's religious and educational aspects by supporting scholars continuously in order to advance the religious and educational reality and create a mature Islamic generation capable of advancing the reality of the Islamic nation while maintaining its sound curriculum within the Islamic community.

The mosques served as the venue for councils on science, economics, and warfare. From these councils, great Muslim scholars emerged, enriching the Islamic world with their diverse sciences and interpretations, until the Islamic nation rose to become one of the best in moral progress and civilized development.
