Main Article Content
Abstract
The research aims to find out the effectiveness of the Swartz's model
on: -
- First-grade students' achievement in studying mathematics.
- Generative thinking skills for first-graders in the study of mathematics.
The sample of the research was (62) students, they were distributed equally into two groups, experimental and control, and the students of the two research groups were statistically equal and these variables (age, general average and previous knowledge from the previous year, generative thinking, intelligence. (115) behavioral goals were formulated according to Bloom's classification in the cognitive domain of levels (remembering, comprehension, and application), an achievement test was prepared from (30) items of a multiple-choice type, and a generative thinking test was prepared consisting of (30) items of the choice type Multiplexed, and two tests of validity and reliability were carried out, and the results showed: there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average answer of the two groups in the achievement test and the generative thinking test in favor of the experimental group.
