Abstract

Arabic language is a well-known one. It has preserved ancient component that dates back to Semitic language. The research examines the issue of phonic transposition (substitution) in the Arabic language, which needs to be studied within that language system, namely Semitic languages. Changing the sound of one word in Arabic language or replacing the sound lead to the change of meaning—a matter that leads to confusion. Hence this study tackles some historical examples of the phenomenon of linguistic substitution and their dialectal  differences as they are discussed in Abnormal Qira'at by Al-Kirmani (d.A 653 .H)
