استقلال الكويت وموقف اليابان منه

الملخص
استطاعت الكويت الحصول على استقلالها التام مستغله المطالبة الشعبية بالاستقلال , اذ وافقت بريطانيا على استبدال معاهدة الحماية 1899 بمعاهدة جديدة سميت معاهدة الصداقة والتعاون والتي بموجبها منحت الكويت استقلالها في عام 1961 , كان موقف اليابان من استقلال الكويت إيجابيا ومساند وفعال وذلك للحفاظ على مصالحها الاقتصادية في الكويت متمثلة بالاتفاقية النفطية الموقعة عام 1958, وكان لها دور فعال ضد مطالبة العراق بضم الكويت لها وعدم اعترافه باستقلال الكويت ,اذ بعد فترة قصيرة اعلنت اليابان اعترافها بدولة الكويت وتبادلت السفراء معها .
