الملخص
لا شك أن البناء الصحيح لأية دولة يتطلب قاعدة اقتصادية صلبة تؤسس عليها مؤسسات الدولة، ولا يمكن فصل الجانب السياسي عن الجانب الاقتصادي. حول الاستقرار السياسي للبلاد اهتمت تونس منذ استقلالها عام 1956 ببناء هيكل اقتصادي قوي من أجل استكمال البناء السليم لدولتها الحديثة، لا سيما وأن تونس كانت محصنة في ظل نظام الحماية الفرنسي الذي استنزف اقتصادها لسنوات عديدة. وخاصة أنه منذ إعلان النظام الجمهوري في تونس عام 1957، أخذت الحكومة التونسية على عاتقها بناء بلد حديث على الطراز الغربي.
كان من المؤكد أن خطط التنمية وبناء الأسس الاقتصادية والهيكلية هي أول ما بدأت الحكومة التونسية في تقوية وتقوية اقتصادها لدعم مشروع التحديث الجديد الذي تبنته بعد تولي الحبيب بورقيبة مقاليد الحكم، إذ أعلن عددًا من إصلاحات في مختلف قطاعات ومؤسسات الدولة، ولعل أبرزها الجانب الاقتصادي.
