Digital Intelligence among University Students
Main Article Content
Abstract
The current research aims to identify the level of digital intelligence among Tikrit University students to see if there are statistically significant differences between the views of faculty members on the application of digital intelligence principles according to the variables of certificate/specialization (humanities, scientific). To achieve the research objectives, the researcher constructed a digital intelligence scale. Validity and reliability were verified, and its discriminatory power was extracted. The correlation coefficient between the score of each item and the total score of the scale was extracted. Thus, the scale in its final form consisted of 40 items. The scale's reliability coefficient was calculated, reaching (0.88) points. The reliability was also extracted using the split-half method, reaching (0.87) points after correction. The data were collected and processed using the statistical program (SPSS). The study reached the following results: Tikrit University applies the principles of digital intelligence in general, compared to the theoretical average of 120 points. No statistically significant difference appeared in the level of digital intelligence among the university students' sample according to the specialization variable (humanities, scientific). No statistically significant difference appeared between the students of the psychological sample according to the gender variable (males, females).
