Counseling Creativity: Its Relationship and Professional Competence among Educational Counselors

Abstract
The current research sought to identify the level of heuristic creativity and its relationship and professional competence among educational counselors in the General Directorate of Education in Kirkuk Governorate, and to identify the differences in heuristic creativity and its relationship and professional competence according to the variable (academic achievement, years of service, and gender, males - females). The research sample consisted of ( 180) Mentors and counselors distributed to the schools covered by educational guidance on the staff of the General Directorate of Education in Kirkuk, and the researcher prepared the heuristic creativity scale consisting of (56) items and relied on the indicative creativity scale prepared by Arnaut (2019) consisting of (57) items, and the efficiency scale of the professional prepared by Abu Aqil 2019 (41) paragraphs, Al-Maghari 2018 (45) paragraphs, and Al-Jandil 2017 (36) paragraphs. The apparent and structural validity of the research tool was verified by presentation to the experts, and the discriminatory power was calculated for it and the stability was calculated by re-testing the data. The data were statistically treated using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) in addition to using a number of other statistical methods. There are statistically significant differences between males and females in extension creativity and in favor of males, and in professional competence in favor of females. There are no statistically significant differences between years of service.
