Abstract

The objective of the present study is to ascertain the extent of school violence among primary school students, assess the prevalence of academic delay among primary school students, and investigate the potential correlation between school violence and academic delay. The present study was conducted only among pupils enrolled in the morning elementary stage in Tikrit throughout the academic year of 2018-2019. The researcher further developed a scholarly measure of academic delay, consisting of 48 questions divided into three domains: family-related reasons, student-related reasons, and school-related reasons. The physical realm and the position of the sample on the academic delay scale are characterized by a low level. A significant link has been shown between incidents of school violence and academic delay.
