Perception of Parental Acceptance and Control and Its Relationship to Methods of Socialization among Students of the Institute of Fine Arts in Tikrit

Abstract
The aim of the current research is to discover the awareness of parental acceptance and control and its relationship to the methods of socialization among students of the Institute of Fine Arts in Tikrit. The sample of the study consists of (90) students, i.e. (60) students from the first grade, and (30) students from the fifth grade. The sample was chosen intentionally from the students of the Institute of Fine Arts in Tikrit for the academic year (2020-2021). The researcher prepared a scale for parental acceptance that consisted of two domains in its final form. It consists of (34) paragraphs, with three alternatives. It also prepared a measure of the methods of socialization within six styles: the style of acceptance, the style of rejection, the style of independence, the style of protection, the style of democracy, and the style of frankness, by (6) items for each style, and the validity of the two tools and their stability, and after applying the two tools, the researcher obtained the following results:
1- The level of acceptance among the sample is low.
2- The level of acceptance among the sample is high.
3- The most adopted method of upbringing among the fathers and mothers of the sample is the strict method.
4- There is a relationship between parental acceptance and control and methods of socialization.
In the light of these results, the researcher developed a set of conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
