Sheikh Jalal al-Din al-Hanafi, His Life and Intellectual Product

Abstract
This research deals with an important Iraqi figure who had a major impact on the history of contemporary Iraq. Sheikh Jalal al-Hanafi al-Baghdadi is an example of moderation, coexistence, enlightenment thought, and renewal.
Sheikh Jalal Al-Hanafi is considered one of the most important contemporary Iraqi encyclopedic authors, if not the most important of them at all. He specialized in various aspects of knowledge and culture, and he was an example of the authentic Baghdad personality. Thus, he spent his life in documenting Baghdad's heritage and culture, leaving a large and varied heritage. In addition to his intellectual output, he worked in the Iraqi press, he was a poet who left an important poetic legacy, and was interested in Iraqi melodies and shrines, so he deserved the title of encyclopedic character.
