Abstract

The study aims to highlight the effective usage of metacognitive skills strategy in acquiring Islamic concepts by the fourth-grade students of humanistic discipline.  The sample of the study consists of (62) students of fourth grade of humanistic morning studies in one of the schools that belongs to Al-Madaa’n district. The researcher compares and contrasts certain elements in the sample of the study, these elements entail the age , the level of intelligence, and the educational background of the parents. The tools of the study are the suggested strategies of metacognitive skills as well the test of Islamic concepts acquisition. The results are statistically examined and analyzed and thus individual differences among members of the sample are clearly recognized. The study ends with certain recommendations and suggestions that are useful for the future studies.
