Jewish representation in legislative and municipal councils in Palestine from the late nineteenth century until the end of the British Mandate in 1948(Historical study)

Abstract
This research comes to clarify the role of Jewish representation in the assemblies of the legislative and municipal councils formed in Palestine, and it came in three sections, as the first topic dealt with the first early days to represent the Jewish side in the so-called legislative councils in the Ottoman era in Palestine, and represented in (the General Council of Mutasarrif Jerusalem) And formed in 1864 AD, as well as municipal councils that were formed in many Palestinian cities, starting with the Jerusalem City Council and formed in 1863 AD, while the second topic of it dealt with the growing role of Jewish representation during the years of the British mandate over Palestine 1918-1948 through And taking them to high levels of representation in the legislative and municipal councils in many Palestinian cities, despite their formation at low proportions of the general population of Palestine, as well as obtaining widespread British support through their formation of many municipal councils for settlements, which had administrative and legal independence from municipal councils Throughout Palestine, despite its sparsely populated population, the third topic dealt with highlighting the most important municipal councils in the period of the British mandate, such as the municipal council for the city of Jerusalem, the municipal councils of Tel Aviv and other municipal councils, and how to acquire it De-out and control the reins of the administrative and financial matters in which, with the support of a large government mandate through a lot of legal amendments to crack down on both the candidate and the Palestinian Arab voters and without taking into account the proportions of the Arab population in Palestine compared to the number of Jewish settlers.
