Abstract

The Jewish - Islamic conflict and the enmity to Islam was not new, or has a certain position, but its roots belong to the first moment when the revelation from Allah came to our prophet (Peace and blessings be on him) in Mecca and this enmity continued in Madena after prophetical migration. The last time took place at the battle of kheiber in 7 AH when Muslims won and were able to dismiss the Jews out of the Arab peninsula. The Jewish were well- known for their tricks and enmity for Muslims in the era of the purely-righteous Caliphate, Ommiad state, then Abbasid state and after that the Ottoman state. It is known for Muslims, in the Quran when Allah said لتجدن اشد الناس عداوة للذين امنىا اليهىد والذين اشركىا ’’ ’’
Their enmity continued without stop since Early-Islamic era.
The Ottoman state gave the Jews rights as these rights were given to the rest of the other religions and sects according to a well-known law.(2)It left the Jews free to practise their religious rites without interfering in them, but they continued to conspire against the state instead of appreciating these rights. They even dared to develop plans for establishing a national homeland in Palestine and to take Jerusalem as its capital. This was at a difficult time of Ottoman empire's history when it was about to decline for financial reasons. With the strength and rigidity of Sultan Abdul Hameed II (1876 - 1909 AD) who took a firm position rejecting the Jewish demand to establish a homeland to them in Palestine, he rejected the Jewish settlement in Palestine during his reign.
