Abstract

The research aimed to present a suggested proposal to develop science books content for the high basic stage in the light of sustainable development dimensions. The research followed the descriptive method. The research sample consisted of three science books distributed across the three school grades (seventh, eighth, ninth) of the basic stage in Yemen. The research concluded by presenting a suggested proposal for developing the content of science textbooks for the upper basic stage in Yemen, in light of the dimensions of sustainable development (environmental, social, economic, and technological). This suggested proposal is based on including these dimensions into the science textbooks using an integrative approach, while considering the sequence in the development process.
