Artistic taste and its relationship to social status among university students

Abstract
The aim of the curirent reseairch is to ideintify:
1-Artisitic taste amiong univiersity studients.
2-The significaince of statiistical differeinces in airtistic taste accoirding to the variaible (genider, specializiation).
3-Social staitus amoing university studients.
4-The significiance of statiistical differenices in social stiatus acciording to the variable (genider, specializaition(
5-The statisticially significaint relationiship betwieen artistic tasite and social status amiong univerisity studeints.
To achieve the research objectives, the researchers adopted the following: -
Due to the lack of a scale representing the research sample, the researchers constructed an artistic taste scale based on previous studies and the theory adopted in this research. (13) paragraphs were formulated to measure artistic taste among university students A social status scale was also prepared based on a number of criteria. Twenty paragraphs were formulated. To achieve the research objectives, the researchers applied the scale to a sample of 200 male and female students, comprising 100 males and 100 females, for the academic year 2024-2025. The data were then analyzed using the computer program
SPSS. The results were as follows:
1-The results showed statistical significance in artistic taste.
2-The results showed statistically significant differences among university students according to the gender variable.
3-The results showed statistical significance in the social status of sample members in general.
4-The results showed no statistically significant differences among university students according to the gender variable in social status.
5-The results showed that the value of the correlation coefficient is positive between the two variables, indicating the existence of a strong correlation between artistic taste and failure in social status
