Abstract

That the inhabitants of cities that were open by the Muslims adhered to their ancient religion, their offer to pay the jizya, which indicates the tax of any kind paid by non-Muslims, but it has finally become indicative of the head tax, and this tribute was so simple that it did not burden them, and that if we notice that it exempted them From the compulsory military service that was imposed on their brothers among the Muslim subjects, then the tribute was not imposed on all the people of the dhimma, but was paid only by males who were able to carry weapons, and the people with disabilities, the weak, the fearful and others were exempted from it, and that the purpose of imposing it was not to be a color From the colors of punishment to the people of the dhimma, but rather in order to provide them with the protection that the swords of Muslims have guaranteed them, and that the points included in this summary represent opinions adopted by the English superintendent Sir Thomas Arnold, which we have taken as a subject for this research in which also a simple translation of the most important aspects of this life Scientific and practical.
