Abstract

The research titled "Place in the Book 'In the Art of Friendship' by Abdul Rahman Munif and Marwan Kassab Bashi" addresses the phenomenon of place, which holds significant importance in literary writings, particularly in narrative forms. The concept of place possesses objective denotative energies derived from its eternal value in human life. However, the authors present it in a dynamic and impactful manner that imbues the texts with a sense of modernity and presence.

The concept of place is intertwined with both the creator and the act of creation, as it is linked to the writer's personal experience. Place transcends confined boundaries and extends into infinite realms, making its meaning more closely associated with the implications the writer intends to convey to the creative recipient.

The research explores interactive spaces and their connection to both happy and sad memories, utilizing places according to the writer's feelings towards them—whether they are familiar places that evoke love, joy, and reassurance, or hostile places that induce feelings of hatred, sadness, and anxiety.
