Irony in Ibn Sahl Al-Andalusi's Poetry

Abstract
This research deals with the study of poetic paradox in the poetry of Ibn Sahl Al-Andalusi, the prominent poet of the Muahden era in Andalusia. Paradox will be explored linguistically and idiomatically alongside examining the elements and purposes of paradox. This study has clarified the means of forming the various forms of paradox in the poetry of Ibn Sahl Al-Andalusi, its artistic mechanisms, and its semantic and aesthetic dimensions. In addition, the study highlights the role of irony in formulating poetic visions and shaping the contents of his texts.
