Student's Attitudes of the first and second stage in the Department of Economics and Agricultural Extension at the college of Agriculture / Tikrit University towards the specialization of agricultural extension

Abstract
The research aimed to identify the trends of the first and second stages students in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension towards the specialization of agricultural extension in general. And then defining their attitudes towards the specialization of agricultural extension in each of the direction paragraphs and arranging them according to their averages, as well as determining the correlation relationship between the attitudes of the first and second stage students in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension towards the specialization of agricultural extension and each of the following factors: gender, upbringing, academic stage, acceptance in Dept. , Sources of Information. The research included all students of the first and second stages in the Department of Economics and Agricultural Extension at the College of Agriculture / Tikrit University, whose number was (94) students. After that, the exploratory sample of (8) students was excluded. The total number of students was (86) students from whom a random sample of 35% of the total students was taken, and the number of its members reached (30) students. A questionnaire form was used as a means to collect data from the respondents, as it consisted of two parts, the first part: questions related to the independent variables of the respondents while it included the second part, the paragraphs of measuring the attitudes of students in the first and second stages towards the specialization of agricultural extension, consisted of 14 questions, half of them positive and the other half negative, before which a five-point scale was placed: Strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, strongly disagree. The results of the research showed that the level of orientation for students in general is neutral and tends to be negative. We conclude from this that the majority of students have a non-positive tendency towards the specialization of agricultural extension, due to the lack of a job market for this specialization at the present time in the absence of government support for the extension system. Research is necessary for the Ministry of Agriculture to provide support in various bodies, whether from government jobs and jobs in agricultural companies, especially the private sector, to accommodate graduates from specialized students in agricultural extension.
