Abstract
This is procedural research that works on the technique phenomenology as a method of criticism, by choosing a model that contains material suitable for study. The research is critical, and the method of working with texts was based on phenomenology. The study is concerned with the book The Rhetoric of Reading: The Space of the Imaginary). by Muhammad Saber Obaid, and before discussing the research topics, a theoretical introduction to phenomenology was presented and the concept, the term, and the fields in which he works were clarified. The research focused on three elements: (heritage, poetry, cinema), and in the aforementioned the phenomenological approach of Muhammad Saber Obaid is completely clear, noting that the book includes heritage, poetry, and cinema, which are elements that cover the time period, ancient and modern, applying his objective (intuitive) consideration to them to come up with the essence of the texts he chose for his aforementioned book.
