Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the level of school dropout among middle school students in the district of Zab / Hawija district. It aims also to identify the statistically significant differences in school dropout among middle school students according to the gender variable (males – females). The basic sample of the research consistes of (100) students. The researcher relies on the school dropout scale. Furthermore, the researcher prepares the scale that consists of (30) items and thus relies on the school dropout scale prepared by, Abu Samra (2019) and Al-Ghanmi (2017). The experts, and the discriminatory power are calculated for this purpose and the stability is calculated by re-testing method. The data are treated statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) as well as using a number of other statistical methods. The research reaches the following results: - There are statistically significant differences that are valid. Arithmetic mean that there are reasons for school dropout among middle school students, and there are statistically significant differences according to the gender variables in the level of valid male dropout.
