الملخص
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة الأغراض الشعرية في شعر الشاعر السوداني محمد محمد علي. إذ تستعرض الدراسة، بعض من الشواهد الشعرية في :( الزهد، الوصف، الفخر، الرثاء، المدح، الهجاء, والغزل، والقصائد الوطنية).
وقد طرق الشاعر محمد محمد علي، أغراض الشعر من وصف, وغزل، ومدح ورثاء، وزهد، وهو حسن المدح، بارع في الوصف، إلا أنه لم يفخر كثيراً في قصائده، ولم يهجُ إلا المستعمر، وهذا دليل على حسن خلقه، كما أنه أبدع في رثائه لأصدقائه. وقد لاحظ الباحثون أن الوصف قد حظي بالنصيب الأوفر، وبرع فيه الشاعر براعة المقتدر والعالم اللغوي.
وقد اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، الذي يقوم بوصف الظاهرة وتحليلها، وذلك بغرض معرفة جمالياتها .
