الملخص
يما تمخض من دراسة التوزيع البيئي والنوعي لسكان الشرقاط , وجود تباين في توزيع السكان وعلى المستويين البيئي والنوعي , وكان للعوامل الاجتماعية المتمثلة بالعادات والتقاليد دور بارز في توزيع السكان , اضافة الى عوامل طبيعية متمثلة بنهر دجلة الذي يقسم القضاء الى نصفين حيث ترب اكتاف الانهار والمياه العذبة شجعت على حرفتي الزراعة وتربية الحيوانات , اظهرت الدراسة استأثرت ناحية اشور بعدد الاناث في ريف قضاء الشرقاط بما يعادل ( 45%) من جملة الاناث , كما اشارت الدراسة من خلال استخدام دليل التركز السكاني ان السكان يتجه نحو التركز , في حين اوضح مؤشر اعادة توزيع ان هناك ما يقارب من (77) ألف نسمة من مجموع السكان مطلوب اعادة توزيعهم, ومن خلال حساب الكثافة العامة (الحسابية ) للسكان تبين ان هناك عدم تناغم بين الوحدات الادارية في كثافة السكان بسبب عدم تباين المساحة لتلك الوحدات .
