الملخص
يعد السكن العمودي من أهم أنواع السكن من الناحية الجغرافية وذلك لعدة أسباب منها الاستغلال الفعال للمساحة حيث يسمح السكن العمودي بالاستغلال الفعال للمساحة حيث يمكن بناء عدة طوابق على مساحة صغيرة مما يقلل التوسع العمراني ويساعد في الحفاظ على المساحات الخضراء فضلا عن خفض التكاليف حيث يقلل السكن العمودي من تكاليف البناء والتشغيل حيث يمكن بناء عدة وحدات سكنية على نفس الأرض مما يقلل من تكاليف البناء والصيانة. السكن العمودي هو نوع من السكن يتميز بوجود عمودية أو أسقف متعددة في مبنى واحد، وتركز دراستنا الجغرافية على السكن العمودي في منطقة حي النفط السكنية، وتحليل العوامل الجغرافية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي تؤثر على توزيع وتطور هذا النوع من السكن.
