رهبان التنصير في الأديرة البندكتية بعد القرن الخامس للميلاد

الملخص
لقد تخرج من الأديرة البندكتية شخصيات رهبانية عدة، كان لها دورها الكبير في عصرها من اتجاهات عدة، وقد تناولت هذه الشخصيات من الناحية النسكية ولم أتعرض لمأثرها الأخرى لأنها خارج نطاق البحث.
إنّ القضية الرهبانية في الغرب كانت قد انحرفت عن مسارها الأول، بفضل حركة التنصير التي قادها الرهبان، ذلك أنّ الظروف العامة في الغرب قد ساقت الرهبنة نحو الملكية والتحكم السياسي، فكانت منبرا من منابر الحروب الصليبية ، بل كانوا هم عود ثقاب الحروب الصليبية.
والظاهر أن القوانين البندكتية الديرية الغربية أعتمدت على الأنظمة الرهبانية السابقة الشرقية، على الرغم من إنها تميزت عنها بالانضباط والنشاط الاجتماعي، وهو ما ثبتت ملاءمته للحياة الغربية ، حتى أن أشهر المصلحين والدعاة في العقيدة الدينية المسيحية كانوا ثمرة النظام البندكتي الرهباني أمثال البابا غريغوريوس الكبير (540-604م) والداعية القديس بونيفاس (675-754م).
لقد افرزت الأديرة البندكتية جيلاً من الرهبان ، الذين أفادوا المجتمع الأوربي آنذاك، لذلك سنسلط الضوء في هذه الدراسة على شخصيتين تركتا بصمتهما الواضحة في مجرى أحداث العالم المسيحي الديري بخاصة، والعالم الأوربي الغربي عامة.
