الملخص
تعد الصناعة من أهم الأنشطة الرئيسة التي مارسها الإنسان منذ القدم، ولاسيما الصناعات الصغيرة التي تشغل حيزا واسعا ومهما في إرضاء وتلبية احتياجات السكان المحلية في المنطقة لاختلاف أنواع المنتجات هذه الصناعات، كذلك فإنّ لها دورها الكبير في عملية النهوض الاقتصادي الصناعي، فضلا عن تقدم هذه الصناعات خدمات تستفيد منها القطاعات الأخرى، لاسيما أنها تعد حجر الزاوية في عملية التنمية وذلك لما لها من تأثير اقتصادي إيجابي في الاقتصاد المحلي.
تعد مهنة الحدادة من الصناعات الخدمية المهمة في قضاء الكوفة، لمساهمتها في القطاعات الاقتصادية. وتظهر أهمية هذه الصناعة من خلال تغيير الوضع الاقتصادي والاجتماعي. ولا تقل أهمية هذه الصناعات الصغيرة في قضاء الكوفة عن القطاعات الصناعية الكبيرة والمتوسطة نظرا لمساهمتها في توفير الإنتاج وتلبية الحاجة المحلية للمستهلك. وتبين أن التوزيع الجغرافي لهذه الصناعة يختلف من جهة إلى أخرى، إذ تنتشر في المناطق التي يتركز فيها السكان، كعامل يرتبط ويحدد حجم الطلب المباشر على منتجات هذه الصناعة.
