الملخص
سدانة الكعبة هي مهنة قديمة ، وتعني العناية بالكعبة المشرفة والقيام بشؤونها من فتحها واغلاقها وتنظفيها وغسلها وكسوتها واصلاح هذه الكسوة اذا تمزقت واستقبال زوارها وكل ما يتعلق بذلك . ومنذ اكثر من 16 قرناً ، أي قبل بدء الاسلام ، اختص احفاد قصي بن كلاب بن مرة بسدانة الكعبة المشرفة ، ومنهم نسل ابناء آل الشيبي سدنة الكعبة الحاليين . والكعبة هي بيت الله الحرام والمحراب المشترك لنبضات قلوب المؤمنين ، وقبلة المسلمين ، جعلها الله سبحانه وتعالى مناراً للتوحيد ورمزا للعبادة ، وهي اول بيت وضع للناس من اجل عبادة الله وهي مهبط نزول الوحي والرسالة الاسلامية على النبي
محمد (r) وان حديثنا عن الكعبة وسدنتها وذلك بسبب قدسية هذه البقعة المباركة عند رب العالمين ثم عبادة المؤمنين وبسبب هذه القدسية اردنا الاطلاع على تاريخ هذا المكان المبارك ومعرفة احداثه فكان لابد من التطرق عن السدانة وبناء الكعبة ، وايضا الى الكعبة في عهد ابراهيم واسماعيل وبني اسماعيل ، وعن ولاية جرهم وخزاعة للبيت الحرام ، والى ولاية قريش للكعبة .
