الملخص
تعد اليابان من الدول ذات الشكل المجزأ وهو من اسوأ الاشكال من وجهة نظر الباحثين في الجغرافية السياسية ، لما يكتنفه من صعوبات في مجال النقل وفي المجال العسكري وما ينتج عنه من عقبات جمة تقف عائقاً امام بناء قوة الدولة ، وقد استطاعت اليابان التغلب على هذه العقبات عبر المتغير التكنولوجي ، حيث تمكنت من حل مشكلة النقل من خلال تطوير قطاع النقل والمواصلات تكنولوجياً فهي تأتي في مقدمة الدول في هذا المجال ، اما مشكلة المجال العسكري فأنها تمكنت من تطور قدراتها العسكرية بشكل كبير جداً مما جعلها تحتل المرتبة الخامسة عالمياً في مجال الانفاق العسكري وحجم ونوعية الأسلحة وكذلك حجم القوات المسلحة ، فقد تمكنت من تصنيع واستيراد أسلحة دفاعية ونوعية فعالة ومتطورة .
