الملخص
شكلت الدراسات التي تناولت الصين أهمية كبيرة على الرغم من قلتها ،وموضوع سياسة فرنسا تجاه الصين للمدة 1860-1919 اكتسب اهمية كبيرة، اذ لا يخفى على احد ان دراسة السياسة الفرنسية تجاه الصين في تلك المدة يحتاج الى تسليط الضوء من قبل الباحثين ، لان السياسة الفرنسية كانت حاضرة في معظم المحطات التي مرت بها الصين ،ولم يتم تناولها من قبل الدارسات الاكاديمية، والتي تناولت سياسة دولة دخلت مضمار التنافس مع الدول الاوربية الاخرى لإثبات وجودها الاستعماري في المنطقة ، فضلاً عن اتساع مصالحها في الصين ومن اجل الحفاظ على تلك المصالح، الامر الذي كان دافعا للباحث التصدي لموضوع البحث لتسليط الضوء على السياسة التي اتبعتها فرنسا تجاه الصين على وفق الاحداث التي عاصرتها والمواقف التي صدرت عنها في تلك المدة .
