الملخص
الامطار من مصادر المياه العذبة فوق سطح الارض وتختلف كميتها مكانيا وزمانيا، وهذا ما يدعو الى معرفة الاتجاه العام للامطار لأي مكان في العالم بغية الوصول الى وضع خطط لازمة لكيفية استغلالها بالشكل الأمثل.
هذه الدراسة محاولة في مجال البحث العلمي لمعرفة الاتجاه العام للامطار في الموصل شتاءاً والتي من خلالها يمكن معرفة كيفية استغلال كمياتها والاستفادة منها كونها مصدرا لا يستهان به في كافة مجالات الحياة وخصوصا في مجال الزراعة.
قسمت الدراسة الى ثلاث مباحث، تناول المبحث الاول الاطار النظري متمثلا بالمقدمة والأهمية والمشكلة والفرضية والهدف وموقع منطقة الدراسة، أما المبحث الثاني فتناول المطر وأنواعه واستعرض التساقط المطري في محطة الموصل خلال أشهر الشتاء لمدة الدراسة، وفي المبحث الثالث فتناول الاتجاه العام للتساقط المطري في محطة الموصل شتاءاً ثم الاستنتاجات والتوصيات.
