الملخص
يعد المؤرخ والفيلسوف البيزنطي ميخائيل بسللوس من أبرز المؤرخين والفلاسفة البيزنطيين الذين ظهروا في القرن الخامس للهجرة/ القرن الحادي عشر للميلاد وقد ذاع صيته وعلت شهرته في القسطنطينية بما تميز به عن ابناء جيله من الكتاب والفلاسفة من الحكمة والمعرفة الموسوعية حتى أصبح من ألمع موظفي البلاط الامبراطوري في القسطنطينية ،وقد احتلت المرأة حيزا كبيرا في حياته وفكره ووثق ذلك في كتاباته من اعمال تاريخية وادبية من رسائل وخطب ومرثيات عن والدته وشقيقته فضلا عن ابنته وزوجته، وقد كتب حوليته التي وثق فيها جوانب من حياته وحياة اسرته وخبراته وما دونه من مزايا وخصال لنساء بيته مما اثر على ماسجله في حوليته عن نساء السلطة والقصور الملكية وعلاقاته برجال السلطة واطلاعه بشكل مباشر على تفاصيل الحياة السياسية والاجتماعية من خلال دورانه في فلك السلطة فعمل لدى تسعة من اباطرة بيزنطة واحتل مكانة مرموقة بينهم لما كان يمتلكه من فصاحة ورجاحة .
