الملخص
تباينت مواقف العديد من القوى الإقليمية والدولية تجاه الحرب العراقية الإيرانية وفقا لمصالحها، ويعد موقف دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة واحدا من أكثر المواقف غموضا تجاه الحرب، نتيجة نظرة النظام السياسي في الإمارات من طبيعة الصراع وانعكاساته على أمنها ومصالحها بالمنطقة، ومنذ بداية الحرب أقدمت الإمارات على تقديم المزيد من مظاهر الدعم السياسي والدبلوماسي والمالي والعسكري للعراق، وظهرت الإمارات بدور الوسيط الدبلوماسي بين طرفي الصراع، ولكنها احتفظت بعلاقات خفية مع النظام الإيراني، مما جعل مساعدتها للعراق أثناء الحرب وما بعدها محل شك من قبل القيادة العراقية.
