الملخص
من المعروف تاريخيا إن العصر الذي حكم فيه هارون الرشيد عُرِفَ بالعصر الذهبي لما شهده من تطور في مجال المعرفة وفنونها ومن ازدهار في مرافق الحياة من جميع جوانبها وأشكالها، وما ذلك إلا نتيجة لما كانت تتمتع به شخصيته التي تكاد تتميز عن معظم الشخصيات التي تولت الحكم في تلك الحقبة وما تلتها .
فكان هو الحافز والدافع لكتابة بحث نغوص من خلاله في شعره لنتعرف من خلاله عليه شاعرا تارة وحاكما تارة أخرى، وهذا الديوان يعد بمثابة مفتاح نستطيع من خلاله الدخول إلى عالم هذه الشخصية المتميزة؛ التي استطاعت أن تجمع بين عالم السياسة والحكم وذلك من خلال علاقاته الاجتماعية والسياسية. وبين عالم الادب والشعر واللهو والطرب وذلك من خلال علاقته بالأدباء والشعراء وحضور مجالس اللهو والغناء. وكيف كان يوفق بين الحزم والحرب وبين الشعر والطرب .
فقد ندر من الخلفاء من امتاز بمثل هذه الإمكانية المتمثلة بالجمع بين المتناقضات، وحسم الأمور لصالحه في كل اتجاه ، حتى جعلت منه مركزا للقوة .
إن هارون الرشيد لم يكن شاعرا كبقية الشعراء ، وما كتاباته سوى ومضات شعرية نابعة بما تختلج به نفسه من مشاعر وعواطف إنسانية.
