الملخص
على المترجم أن يدرك تماما، عند ترجمته لنص ما أهمية ترجمة علامات الترقيم بشكل سليم نظرا للدور الذي تلعبه في الترجمة. إن الاستخدام الصحيح لهذه العلامات في النص الأصل يجب أن ينعكس بالمثل على النص الهدف. فغالبا ما تدير هذه العلامات المعنى. و في البحث الحالي، ثمة محاولة للإشارة الى بعض النواحي المتعلقة بهذه العلامات و ؛إعدادها و كيفية ترجمتها من الانجليزية الى العربية. علاوة على ذلك، فالبحث هذا يركز على العلاقة بين هذه العلامات و ما يسمى بالإدخالات الخطابية المرئية و كيفية ترجمتها من منظور المدخلات الخطابية. و يتناول البحث الحالي عشر نصوص مترجمة عن الانجليزية و قد تم فحصها باستعمال نموذج العالم نيومارك عام (1988) و الخاص بالترقيم المتبع في هذه الدراسة. و الغرض من الدراسة هو قياس دقة و وضوح الترجمات. ويتناول البحث ايضا الدور الدلالي و البراغماطيقي لعلامات الترقيم و كيفية انعكاس ذلك على الترجمة متوصلا الى أن من الواجب ان يولي المترجمون انتباه اكثر لترجمة علامات الترقيم.
