الملخص

تشكل موريتانيا اهمية جيو- سياسية في منطقة شمال افريقيا وذلك من خلال موقعها الاستراتيجي ، اذ كانت تشكل على مدى تاريخها بانها حلقة وصل بين مناطق شمال افريقيا ومنطقة جنوب الصحراء ، لاسيما انها كانت طوال مدة الاحتلال الفرنسي تشكل جزءاً من المغرب الاقصى ، وضلت تشكل امتداد طبيعي للأراضي المغربية حتى حصولها على الاستقلال في 28 تشرين الثاني 1960 وانفصالها عن الهيكل الاستعماري الفرنسي في شمال افريقيا ، الا انها اصطدمت بمطالبة المملكة المغربية بضمها الى اراضيها ولم يتم الاعتراف بها دولة مستقله في بداية استقلالها ذات كيان سياسي مستقل مجاور لها ، فضلاً عن عدم اعتراف اغلب الدول العربية بها دوله مستقله باستثناء الجمهورية التونسية في البداية ، وبسبب الدعم التونسي لها على الساحتين العربية والدولية ، استطاعت الحصول على الاعتراف من الدول العربية ، فكان للاعتراف التونسي باستقلال موريتانيا تداعيات كبيرة على العلاقات التونسية المغربية كان قد تسبب بقطع العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين البلدين بشكل كامل .
