الملخص
حظيت المرأة بمكانة كبيرة واهتمام استثنائي في حياة الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وذلك من خلال الادوار المهمة التي قدمتها بعض النساء في حياته الشريفة منذ ولادته وحتى وفاته ' فهناك الام والمرضعة والمربية والحاضنة والزوجة ' ومن بين تلك الاسماء المهمة ام ايمن بركة رضي الله عنها التي تولت الاهتمام به بوصية من اهله فكان لها الاثر الواضح ونالت من التكريم والتشريف الشيء الكثير وذلك ما يتناوله هذا البحث اذا تولت رعايته في صغره مع امه ثم مع جده ثم مع عمه حتى كبر وأصبح بإمكانه العمل والاعتماد على نفسه ثم اصبح لها دور واضح في الاسلام وحياة المسلمين في المدينة فهي التي تولت تغسيل السيدة زينب رضي الله عنها حين وفاتها
وقد حزنت على وفاة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حزنا شديدا وانشدت ابياتا من الشعر ترثيه بها فكان لحياتها وتربيتها له وتأثرها بطبيعته وأخلاقه الاثر الواضح في حزنها عليه وتوفيت ايام الخليفة عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه في عام 23 ه ولم يكن لها اثر واضح بعد وفاة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم نظرا لكبر سنها
